Search Engine Optimization

How do you optimize your site for the big three engines to recognize and increase your page rank?  How do you increase your google ranking, is there any one place that will spell out the steps to cyber ranking bliss?  Are Adwords the way to go?  Are pay per clicks effective long term?  Real Estate is probably the most competitive market place across all industries, especially in the cyber space arena.

Are there proven companies that offer effective techniques to accomplish search engine optimization at a reasonable price.  I took the plunge with one company that affirmed their ability to achieve first page natural ranking within a six month period.  After less then a week of exchanging information, my spider senses began to tingle and I started asking qualifying questions that went unanswered and the run - a - round commenced.  I then decided to forgo the guarantee and ask for my money back which they replied I was not entitled to.  Luckly, after lodging a complaint with visa, my money was reimbersed in full.  I also filed a complaint with the BBB in hopes that other unknowing consumers would not experience the same pitfalls.

I presently participate in a PPC campaign which is producing a significant number of leads per week.  But, I am always looking for that magic pill to enhance my ranking naturally.

Yes there are proven companies (or individuals) who are able to accomplish effective SEO (Search Engine Optimization).  Whether or not they are reasonably priced depends on what you feel is 'reasonable'.

I used to provide professional SEO services to organizations interested in getting all the marketing mileage they could out of their websites.  Depending on the organization, their goals, the keywords they had identified and the size of their site it would cost anywhere from $1000 to $8000 for the initial optimization.  They would then be looking at $300-$500 for intermittant reporting and tweaking (monthly or bi-monthly depending on their needs and budget).

I did have competitors who would come in and offer the 'full meal deal' for a one time fee of $500 for an entire site, but inevitably the client would end up getting what they paid for.  There is alot of work involved in effectively optimizing the average website and if someone is doing all that work for $8-$10 per hour (which is what $500 would work out to) they are likely not very effective, or they are doing a half-hearted job.

I know your orignal post is from back in April, so hopefully you have found someone to help you out.  If you haven't, good luck in your search.
