Fall River is a small but spread out community that is limited with a few stores. It does however have its own plaza for some things to meet your daily needs.
The FALL RIVER SHOPPING PLAZA is home to a variety of little shops such as Pizza Girls, Credit Union, Liquor Store, and Sobeys to name a few. With Fall River and Waverly having very few shopping choices, often, most residents will travel to Lower Sackville or Bedford to do more of their shopping.
A short 10-15 minute drive from Fall River to Sackville and Bedford is where you will find an assortment of shopping available to you.
The DOWNSVIEW PLAZA is Sackville's shopping center. You will find a variety of stores such as Wal-Mart, Pets Unlimited, Dollarama, Canadian Tire, Staples, Sobeys, Shopper's Drug Mart, as well as many smaller stores. Other then shops, we have Empire Theatres multi-plex movie theatre (called Studio 7), a wide choice of restaurants and more.
Sackville also several small to medium size strip malls where you will find smaller retail outlets and service type stores including delis, video stores, drug stores and more.
There are two medium size shopping malls in Bedford, SUNNYSIDE MALL and BEDFORD PLACE MALL. A 15 minute drive from Sackville and you will find Bayers Lake Business Park in Halifax where stores such as Costco, Staples, Future Shop, Winners, Wal-Mart, Home Depot and many others are located. This is a popular shopping location for many ages.
Both Halifax and Dartmouth offer excellent shopping only a few minutes drive away. Because the Halifax metro area is Nova Scotia's largest urban center it is also the regional shopping area. |
